Alex Rosie was born in Orkney on April 22, 1935. He lost his battle with cancer on 28th April 2014. Much loved and sorely missed, he will be remembered by all his friends and family as a kind and funny man.

Thanks so much to John Angus and the gang at the Maybury who held a "Crackers" competition on Saturday night 27th September as a tribute to dad. Crackers is a game they play at the poker break which dad was fond of and tried to teach us. "In his honour, along with the trophy to the winner (Big Bob, a long-time pal of dad), a booby prize was presented to the player who finished last. (When Alex was trailing in the game, he was wont to enquire as to the possibility of a booby prize !! :-) The evening was full of fun and happy memories and I'm sure your dad was having a good chuckle at the banter as he observed the proceedings from his photo on the scoreboard".
